Announcement
August 31, 2006
It is with deep regret that we announce that our dear friend and mentor, Battalion Chief Oliver Moore, has decided to retire from the West Valley fire department and the West Valley Citizen Corp Committee. Ollie has been deeply involved with CERT since the beginning. He was in the first CERT class taught by FEMA. He was instrumental in bringing the program to West Valley and has always been available to assist and take part in our projects and classes. Through his efforts the program is what it is today in West Valley with over 1000 trained individuals in our community. If and when there is every an event in our community many individuals will owe their lives to his dedication, hard work and love of the program. We are going to miss him.
